In short

Which is the best water purifier for a home in the United States?

For most homes in the United States, the best water purifier is one that removes what should not be there, keeps the minerals that should, and tells you how it is doing. Boon makes two. Boon Tap is an under-sink purifier with a stainless steel tap on the counter, 8-stage UltraOsmosis™ filtration, three Water Profiles and WaterAI™ monitoring, in RO or UF versions depending on the local water. Boon Tap Pro adds hot, ambient, cold and sparkling water from one tap, for larger homes, villas and small offices. Both are quote-based; Boon recommends the filtration after a look at your water.

The range

Different kitchens. Different water.

Boon's proprietary UltraOsmosis™ filters

UltraOsmosis™

Purified, not stripped

Conventional RO removes everything, minerals included, and sends a lot of water down the drain. UltraOsmosis™ adjusts to the incoming water: dissolved solids, microbacteria and microplastics come out, essential minerals stay, and less water is wasted.

Where the supply is already low in dissolved solids — desalinated or well-treated municipal water — Boon Tap's UF version keeps the water's natural minerals and sends nothing to the drain at all.

Water Profiles

Made for the moment

Boon Tap moves between three mineral profiles, so the water can change as the day does.

Daily

Balanced minerals for the usual glass, bottle and everyday refill.

Active

Full mineral enhancement for days that ask more of the body.

Bev

A lighter mineral load for cleaner tea and coffee extraction.

WaterAI™

Your water is now live

WaterAI™ shows what is happening inside the purifier as it happens: TDS, temperature and flow, filter health predicted from real use, cleaning routines and Away mode from your phone.

Home water purifiers, answered

What is the best water purifier for a home in the United States?

Judge a home purifier on four things: whether it removes dissolved solids, microbes and microplastics; whether it keeps essential minerals rather than stripping them; how much water it wastes; and whether it can tell you its filter health. Boon Tap does all four with UltraOsmosis™ filtration, mineral restoration, up to 30% less wastage than standard RO, and WaterAI™ monitoring, and only a crafted steel tap shows on the counter. For homes in the United States that want hot, cold and sparkling water too, Boon Tap Pro is the step up.

RO or UF — which does a home in the United States need?

It depends on the water coming in. RO (reverse osmosis) is built for high-TDS supply — borewell, tanker or hard municipal water — and removes dissolved solids up to 2,000 ppm before minerals are added back. UF (ultrafiltration) suits water that is already low in dissolved solids, such as desalinated or well-treated municipal supply: it keeps the natural minerals and wastes no water. Boon checks the TDS of your supply before recommending.

Does an under-sink purifier need a lot of cabinet space?

Boon Tap's purification unit fits inside a standard sink cabinet or mounts on the wall when cabinet space is limited. Only the tap is visible on the counter.

Is Boon's water safe to drink straight from the tap?

Yes. Every drop passes the full UltraOsmosis™ stack, including in-line UV sterilisation, and WaterAI™ monitors the output continuously. If a filter is due, the app says so before quality drops.

How often do filters need changing?

WaterAI™ predicts filter life from your actual usage and incoming water rather than a fixed calendar. Boon Tap filters last up to 50% longer than standard RO filters; most households see a change cycle every 12 to 18 months.

Can the tap and display work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. The tap, profiles and display work fully offline. Wi-Fi is needed only for the WaterAI™ app, smart alerts and over-the-air updates.

How does Boon work with customers in the United States?

Enquiries in the United States go to Boon's international desk, or to the authorised local partner where one is listed on the contact page. Every Boon system is designed and built at Boon's own factory in Gurugram, India; delivery, installation and commissioning are arranged per project, and because each system reports into WaterAI™, Boon's team can monitor and support it remotely wherever it runs.
