Boon Labs · The filtration platform

UltraOsmosis™ — the upgrade RO needed

Most purifiers are tested once, in a lab. UltraOsmosis™ is engineered to hold up every day, in homes, hotels and offices in Saudi Arabia: the same platform trusted across 400+ hotels, built for a single kitchen too.

Boon's proprietary UltraOsmosis™ filters

In short

What UltraOsmosis™ is

UltraOsmosis™ is Boon's patented purification platform: five proprietary filters, designed and manufactured in Boon's own lab, that purify water in stages. Unlike conventional reverse osmosis, which strips water indiscriminately, it adjusts to the incoming water so dissolved solids, microbacteria and microplastics are removed while essential minerals are retained. The result is up to 50% longer membrane life and up to 30% less water sent to the drain than a standard RO, on supply up to 2,000 TDS.

Boon in Saudi Arabia

  • Desalinated supply in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Red Sea developments is low in minerals; UltraOsmosis™ restores balance at the tap.

Real engineering, real conditions

Commercial-grade from the start

UltraOsmosis™ is Boon's own filtration platform, not an assembly of off-the-shelf cartridges. It was built for hotels and workplaces first, where a purifier runs all day on water that changes from building to building, and only then brought into the home.

That is why the same engineering sits inside Boon Tap under a kitchen sink, inside every Purify unit in an office, and behind every glass bottle a Refill plant fills in Saudi Arabia.

Five proprietary filters

The engineering, if you're curious

Five of the stages are Boon's own filters; dosing, mineral and UV stages run between them.

  1. 01

    InletShield Filter™ — Inlet

First line of defence. A grooved 5-micron pre-filter that catches inlet load and visible particles, with up to 2x the filtration advantage of a standard pre-filter.

  2. 02

    ProFlow Filter™ — Sediment

Controls sediment and turbidity with a 5-micron ridged casing, holding up to 3x more dirt than a standard PP filter.

  3. 03

    CarbonCorrect Filter™ — Taste

Corrects chlorine and chemical taste, for water that is cleaner and smoother to drink.

  4. 04

    CoreRO Filter™ — Core

The core membrane. Handles supply up to 2,000 TDS, with up to 50% longer life and up to 30% lower water wastage than a standard RO membrane.

  5. 05

    UV ProGlow Filter™ — Support

An in-line LED UV stage before the tank: a supporting layer of protection, not the headline.

The UltraOsmosis™ process, stage by stage: InletShield, ProFlow, CarbonCorrect, CoreRO, RO Life Enhancer, UltraOsmosis, MineralRestore and UV ProGlow

The full stack

Eight stages, in order

InletShield, ProFlow, CarbonCorrect, CoreRO, RO Life Enhancer, UltraOsmosis, MineralRestore and UV ProGlow. Five are Boon's proprietary filters; the rest are the dosing, mineral-restoration and UV stages that run between them.

Every drop that reaches the tap has passed all eight, and WaterAI™ watches the output continuously, so if a stage is due for service the app says so before quality drops.

Smarter than standard RO

Four places it shows up in the build

 Ordinary ROUltraOsmosis™
Pre-filterA smooth skin catches everything at the surface. It looks clean for a week, then chokes.Grooves carry dirt down into the channels instead of letting it sit on the face: up to 3x the holding capacity.
MembraneLoose winding leaves gaps: less membrane doing the work, and it gives out sooner.Wound tight, so more active surface works on every litre. That is where the up-to-50% longer life comes from.
MineralsIdentical pressed pellets dose one fixed synthetic mix, whatever the water actually needs.Mineral stones from natural deposits, releasing slowly, the way ground water picks minerals up in the first place.
UVOne bare lamp sitting in a tank. No reflection, and the light weakens as it travels.A mirrored chamber bounces light wall to wall, treating water in line before it ever reaches the tank.

RO or UF

Two versions, chosen by the water

Boon looks at the supply before recommending, because water in Saudi Arabia differs from building to building.

UltraOsmosis™ RO

For supply high in dissolved solids: borewell, tanker or hard municipal water. Removes dissolved solids up to 2,000 TDS, then restores minerals.

UltraOsmosis™ UF

For supply already low in dissolved solids, such as desalinated or well-treated municipal water. Keeps the natural minerals and sends nothing to the drain.

Either way, monitored

Both report TDS, flow and filter health into WaterAI™, so the recommendation is checked against real water, not assumed.

Made entirely in-house

No off-the-shelf parts

Every filter here was designed, tested and manufactured inside Boon's own lab.

  • 7 patents
  • 5 proprietary filters
  • In-house R&D lab and factory
  • Inside every Boon system, from Boon Tap to Refill Ultra

Where it lives

One platform. Every Boon.

UltraOsmosis™, answered

What is UltraOsmosis™?

UltraOsmosis™ is Boon's patented purification platform: five proprietary filters, designed and built in Boon's own lab, that purify water in stages while retaining essential minerals. It is inside every Boon system, from the Boon Tap under-sink purifier to the Purify commercial range and the Refill bottling plants.

How is UltraOsmosis™ different from ordinary RO?

Conventional reverse osmosis strips water indiscriminately and sends a large share of it to the drain. UltraOsmosis™ adjusts to the incoming water, keeps essential minerals, and its tightly wound membrane and grooved pre-filters give up to 50% longer membrane life and up to 30% lower water wastage than a standard RO.

Does UltraOsmosis™ remove minerals from the water?

It removes dissolved solids, microbacteria and microplastics, then restores minerals through a mineral stage using stones from natural deposits rather than synthetic pellets. The output is balanced, pleasant-tasting water, and Mineral Enhancers can shape it further.

RO or UF: which does a home in Saudi Arabia need?

It depends on the supply. RO suits water high in dissolved solids; UF suits water that is already low in dissolved solids, such as desalinated or well-treated municipal supply, and wastes no water. Boon checks the TDS of your water before recommending.

How often do UltraOsmosis™ filters need changing?

WaterAI™ predicts filter life from actual usage and incoming water rather than a fixed calendar. Filters last up to 50% longer than standard RO filters; most households see a change every 12 to 18 months.

Is UltraOsmosis™ certified?

Boon's systems carry ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 management certifications and are NSF, FDA, CE and RoHS compliant; the Refill bottling plants also hold ISO 22000 for food safety.

How does Boon work with customers in Saudi Arabia?

Enquiries in Saudi Arabia go to Boon's international desk, or to the authorised local partner where one is listed on the contact page. Every Boon system is designed and built at Boon's own factory in Gurugram, India; delivery, installation and commissioning are arranged per project, and because each system reports into WaterAI™, Boon's team can monitor and support it remotely wherever it runs.
