Warranty & Maintenance

Every Boon product is built to last. Here’s what we cover, what we don’t, and how we keep your water clean for years.

Warranty Coverage

Warranty terms vary by product. Please refer to the table below for the coverage applicable to your Boon product.

Please note: The warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failures under normal use. It is not a comprehensive or extended service plan. Consumables, maintenance visits, and filter replacements are included only where explicitly stated above.

Warranty is valid from the date of installation as recorded by the Boon service team. Proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation) may be required.

What Voids the Warranty

The warranty stands only when the product is maintained and serviced exclusively by the Boon service team. The warranty shall be considered void and inapplicable in any of the following cases:

Any repair, servicing, filter change, or modification carried out by a third party, unauthorised technician, or the customer themselves will immediately void the warranty — in full.

  • Unauthorised servicing or tampering: Any attempt to open, repair, modify, or service the product by anyone other than Boon’s authorised service personnel.
  • Third-party filter or part replacement: Use of non-genuine filters, membranes, or spare parts not supplied by Boon.
  • Unauthorised relocation: Moving or reinstalling the product without scheduling it through Boon’s service team.
  • Physical damage: Damage caused by mishandling, dropping, improper storage, or exposure to extreme conditions not specified in the product manual.
  • Electrical damage: Damage caused by voltage fluctuations, power surges, or faulty electrical supply not mitigated by a stabiliser or surge protector.
  • Water supply misuse: Connecting the purifier to a water source that exceeds the specified operating parameters (see Section 04).
  • Commercial or institutional use: Operating the product in any commercial, industrial, or institutional setting when purchased as a domestic unit (see Section 03).
  • Cosmetic wear: Normal wear and tear, scratches, discolouration, or fading that do not affect the performance of the product.

Why this matters: Water purifiers are precision instruments. Incorrect servicing — even something as simple as replacing a filter with the wrong torque or sequence — can compromise water safety. We keep servicing in-house to protect both the machine and your family’s health.

Free Filter & Membrane Replacement

Free replacement of consumable filters and membranes is available for Boon Tap only, during the 2-year warranty period. This benefit is subject to all of the following conditions being met:

Boon Tall does not include free filter or membrane replacement. All consumable replacements for Boon Tall are chargeable at standard rates throughout the product’s life.

For Boon Tap, if any of the above conditions are not met, filter and membrane replacements will be chargeable at standard rates. Specifically:

  • Exceeding 12,000 litres: Filter life is rated for domestic household consumption. Usage beyond 12,000 litres — whether due to high household size, commercial use, or connection to multiple outlets — is not covered under the free replacement programme.
  • TDS above 1,500 ppm: High-TDS source water accelerates membrane degradation and reduces filter life significantly. If the input water TDS exceeds 1,500 ppm, membrane and filter replacements will be chargeable. Our team will measure TDS at the time of installation and during each service visit.
  • Commercial or institutional use: Products installed in offices, restaurants, cafés, clinics, salons, co-working spaces, or any non-residential setting are classified as commercial use. Free filter replacement applies exclusively to domestic households.

How WaterAI helps: Boon’s WaterAI module continuously monitors filter health, TDS levels, and usage volume. You’ll receive proactive alerts when a filter change is approaching — no guesswork, no overdue filters. Our team schedules the replacement visit automatically.

Operating Conditions

To ensure optimal performance and maintain warranty eligibility, the product must be operated within the following parameters:

Operating the product outside these parameters may result in reduced performance, accelerated wear, and may void the warranty as outlined in Section 02.

Scheduled Maintenance

Periodic in-person servicing ensures long-term reliability and water safety. Maintenance inclusions vary by product.

Boon Tap — 2 Free Maintenance Visits

Boon Tap includes 2 complimentary maintenance visits during the 2-year warranty period. These visits cover:

WaterAI monitors your system in real time and our team will proactively schedule visits. You will receive a notification via WhatsApp or the Boon app ahead of each visit. Any maintenance visits beyond the included 2 will be chargeable at standard rates.

Boon Tall — No Free Maintenance

Boon Tall does not include any complimentary maintenance visits. All service visits — including routine checks, cleaning, filter replacement, and sanitisation — are chargeable at standard rates from the date of installation.

The 1-year warranty for Boon Tall covers manufacturing defects and faulty parts only. Scheduled maintenance and consumable replacements are the responsibility of the customer and must be arranged through Boon’s authorised service team.

Missed a scheduled service? Whether you’re on a Boon Tap or Boon Tall, we recommend keeping regular service appointments. Skipping maintenance can accelerate wear and may affect warranty coverage for issues that could have been prevented through routine servicing.

Post-Warranty Service

After the warranty period (2 years for Boon Tap, 1 year for Boon Tall), Boon continues to offer servicing and support. Post-warranty service visits and parts will be chargeable at standard rates, communicated transparently before any work is carried out.

  • Service visit charges and part costs will be shared upfront — no hidden fees.
  • Genuine Boon filters and parts are always available through our team.
  • Annual maintenance plans may be offered to keep costs predictable. Details will be shared closer to your warranty expiry.

Even after warranty, we strongly recommend servicing your Boon product exclusively through our authorised team to ensure water safety and optimal performance.

Warranty Transferability

The warranty is non-transferable. It is valid only for the original purchaser and the installation address registered at the time of purchase. If the product is sold, gifted, or transferred to another person or location without prior intimation to Boon, the warranty stands void.

For relocation of the product within the warranty period, please schedule the move through our service team to maintain warranty eligibility.

General Terms

  • Boon reserves the right to inspect the product before approving any warranty claim.
  • Warranty repairs may involve replacement with refurbished components of equivalent quality.
  • Boon is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from product use or downtime.
  • These terms are subject to change. The version in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to your warranty.
  • For disputes, the jurisdiction shall be the courts of New Delhi, India.
